Why Civics Now? The Role of Informed Citizens in Democracy

The Civics Series at Bucks County Community College launches with a timely forum and Q&A featuring former Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiker and Pennsylvania House Representative Tim Brennan. This session will explore the importance of civic knowledge in sustaining a healthy democracy, frame today’s civic challenges, and encourage active participation. Speakers will also introduce the upcoming civics course, highlighting practical ways community members can engage more thoughtfully and effectively in public life.
