Several first-round grant recipients have already reached important milestones.
Bucks County Grant Recipients – Round 1

Friends of Washington Crossing Park– $20,000
At Washington Crossing Historic Park, expanded 2025 Delaware River Crossing Reenactments on December 14 and 25 welcomed thousands of visitors through living history demonstrations, educational activities, and on-site interpretation. These programs set the stage for the 250th anniversary of the Crossing in 2026, preparing audiences for a once-in-a-generation commemoration.
Bucks County Children’s Museum– $20,000
On December 2, the Bucks County Children’s Museum opened George’s Inn: Life in 1776, a new interactive exhibit designed to introduce young learners to daily life during the Revolutionary era through hands-on exploration and play. The exhibit immerses children in colonial-era settings and activities, helping them build a deeper understanding of America’s founding in an engaging, age-appropriate way.

Gather Place Museum– $20,000
Gather Place Museum’s Grand Opening – Celebrating 250 Years of American Resilience in Pursuit of Liberty, Justice, and Equality has been formally designated an America250PA Officially Recognized Program. It will highlight the vital contributions of Black Americans, women, and everyday citizens to our shared history on January 9 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM.
Durham Historical Society– $5,000
In October, grant support enabled the Durham Historical Society to commission a historically accurate steering oar for a restored Durham Boat, preserving the craftsmanship and transportation technologies that helped power the Revolutionary cause. The oar was constructed by Paul Rollins of York, Maine, using plan details from historic records.

Bucks County Grant Recipients – Round 2

Bucks250PA – $5,000
Bucks250PA is also proud to be a Semiquincentennial Grant recipient. America250PA is supporting the development of the Bucks County Revolutionary War Trail, a new printed and digital experience that will showcase historic sites across the county, elevate underrepresented stories from the Revolutionary era, and encourage heritage tourism and local exploration. This project reflects Bucks250PA’s commitment to connecting past and present through accessible, inclusive interpretation as we move toward 2026.
Together, these projects illustrate how strategic investment, collaboration, and community leadership are shaping a meaningful and forward-looking Semiquincentennial across Bucks County, ensuring that the stories of the Revolution are not only remembered, but experienced, explored, and shared.
